The National Fair Housing Alliance invites you to join researchers, innovators, civil and human rights experts, regulators, and academicians in attending the 2026 Responsible AI Symposium

What is NFHA's Responsible AI Symposium?

The National Fair Housing Alliance (NFHA) is proud to host the 2026 Responsible AI Symposium: Zero Gap–Aligning AI with Civil and Human Rights. Our third annual Symposium will explore the latest developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and dispel the myth that there is an inherent trade-off between advancing civil rights and spurring technological innovation. In fact, these two goals are mutually reinforcing. They foster public trust and advance innovations that better serve society.

As AI rapidly reshapes industries, communities, and public life, this Symposium convenes some of the world’s leading thought leaders, researchers, policymakers, technologists, civil rights experts, housing and lending professionals, regulators, and academics to explore how civil and human rights-centered AI development and deployment can be advanced without stifling innovation.

Building on the success of previous Symposiums, this year’s event expands its reach with a special AI documentary showcase and discussion with an Emmy Award winning director. It also features interactive sessions, insightful panels, lively discussion, networking opportunities, a high-profile Pitch Competition, and a focus on civil and human rights-centered innovation.

We’ll cover everything from ethics in AI, building safe and secure systems, the explosion in data center development and their societal impacts, global policy development, algorithmic fairness techniques, innovations in multiple sectors, balancing AI with workforce concerns, AI governance frameworks, sandbox protocols, and more.

Our vision is clear: to educate, share ideas, showcase responsible innovations, and transform policies and practices so AI benefits everyone.
