Date & Time
Monday, June 29, 2026, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Location Name
Presidential Ballroom
Description

As AI data centers expand rapidly across the country, communities are being asked to weigh promised economic benefits against real pressures on land use, energy and water resources, infrastructure, housing costs, and neighborhood stability. This session will examine how state and local governments, fair housing advocates, and municipal stakeholders can use fair housing, land-use, transparency, community benefits, and accountability tools to ensure technology-driven development serves the public interest. Panelists will discuss strategies for aligning data center policy with affordability goals, preventing displacement and cost-shifting, and securing durable investments that support long-term community well-being.

This session is open to virtual attendees.
