Daniel Galindo, AICP is the Director of Planning and Zoning for Loudoun County, Virginia, having previously held the positions of Assistant Director and Community Planning Manager. During his tenure, Mr. Galindo has overseen the development of the Loudoun County 2019 Comprehensive Plan and the new Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance, adopted in June 2019 and December 2023, respectively. Both represent generational rewrites of Loudoun County’s most important planning documents. Prior to joining Loudoun, he held the position of Senior Planner for the Town of Purcellville, Virginia, and served as Zoning Administrator for the Town of Hamilton, Virginia. He has also served as Community Development Coordinator for the City of Winchester, Tennessee, and a Community Planner in the State of Tennessee’s Local Planning Assistance Office. Mr. Galindo is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Master of Urban Planning and Trinity University with a degree in Urban Studies. He and his wife live in Reston, Virginia, and have two sons.
