Varda Hussain is the Special Litigation Counsel for Fair Lending in the Civil Rights Division, Housing and Civil Enforcement Section of the United States Department of Justice. Ms. Hussain manages a variety of fair lending enforcement matters including matters under the Justice Department’s Combatting Redlining Initiative. Ms. Hussain also served as the Managing Counsel for Fair Lending Enforcement at the Federal Reserve, where she managed fair lending supervision and enforcement matters for banks under Federal Reserve supervision. Ms. Hussain is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Virginia School of Law.
