The real estate market has experienced extreme shifts. This year is no different with a housing market that can at best be described as volatile. Yet, with the unpredictability, one thing remains constant: consumers of color have less access to homeownership opportunities. In this session, audience participants will increase their understanding of the current housing market while learning which data points and perspectives to consider when conducting their own local market research. Housing market experts will point to quantitative and qualitative data they use to inform their analysis of U.S. housing market trends while giving insight into the causes behind current market behavior and their projections about future trends. Presenters will help the audience understand how market dynamics affect the expectations and behaviors of buyers, sellers, and real estate agents. After presentations, participants will explore and reinforce their knowledge in a breakout session.
