Webinar Details and Agenda

As the federal enforcement landscape shifts, state and local agencies have an increasingly important role in combating housing and lending discrimination, including discrimination driven by algorithms and emerging technologies. This 90-minute webinar will examine where enforcement gaps are emerging and provide practical guidance for agencies seeking to identify, investigate, and respond to discriminatory practices.

NFHA experts will examine current fair housing and fair lending enforcement issues, including redlining, discriminatory screening practices, disparate impact, and data-driven investigations. The session will also address algorithmic and technology-driven discrimination, including how agencies can identify potential risks, obtain and evaluate relevant information, determine accountability, and use existing authorities and resources to respond.

Participants will leave with concrete enforcement strategies, examples, and publicly available tools they can begin using immediately, as well as guidance on strengthening internal capacity, coordinating across agencies, and accessing additional technical assistance.
