Hana is an AI Governance Researcher at NFHA’s Responsible AI Lab, where she conducts sociotechnical research on algorithmic fairness, model governance, and the societal implications of AI systems in high stakes domains. Hana was previously a Fellow with the Public Policy Holding Company (PPHC) based in Washington, DC, where she worked across five top-tier lobbying and public affairs firms. She holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where she researched at the intersection of emerging technologies, ethics, and society. Her work examined the role of epistemic communities in shaping transatlantic AI governance, and supported research initiatives on AI in healthcare, and the ethical implications of XR and virtual worlds. Hana’s contributions span community-driven initiatives and policy-focused projects nationwide, reflecting her commitment to a holistic approach to realizing technology governance that empowers communities and ensures innovation serves the public interest.
