Chenise Anthony serves as the Executive Director of the Fair Housing Council of Metropolitan Memphis. Ms. Anthony leads a new corps of fair housing advocates in the work to educate housing providers, realtors, and community members about housing segregation and discrimination. She leads efforts to investigate and eradicate housing discrimination and promote inclusive communities throughout the Memphis Metropolitan Area, regionally, and nationally. Prior to FHCMM, Chenise’s work involved corporate governance, political affairs, urban education, tribal affairs, and non-profit service.
Chenise began her career in Fair Housing as a law student by working as a housing discrimination tester in the Housing Discrimination Testing Program at Suffolk University Law School. Chenise also completed work with the Fair Housing Center of Greater Boston where she worked with grant applications, fair housing reports, testing, and data analytics. Chenise has taught courses and implemented curriculums in law school admissions, speech and oral arguments, governance, tribal relations, and constitutional law.
Chenise holds Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rhodes College and her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts.
