Erwin Godoy is an entrepreneurial product executive, seasoned strategist, and innovation practitioner dedicated to successfully equipping organizations to navigate and harness exponential
technological change. With 25+ years of diverse experience across national security, finance, fintech, strategy, innovation, product leadership, and emerging technologies, Erwin integrates artificial intelligence, human-centered design, and lean methodologies to drive strategic growth and product innovation.

Erwin is the principal co-owner and founder of The Exponential Scout, a consultancy helping organizations apply Design Thinking, Lean Startup, and innovation methodologies to navigate
technological disruption. He developed the Strategy-Led Innovation Playbook, a comprehensive framework for enterprise innovation management. Erwin is also senior faculty at the Lean Startup Company where he helps enterprise innovation teams acquire and apply lean startup skills to derisk startup initiatives.

Erwin previously served as the Head of Loan Products Scouting and Strategy, leading the New Concepts Group at Freddie Mac's Single-Family Innovation Lab. There, he initiated
groundbreaking projects, including the widely adopted DPAOne platform. Before joining Freddie Mac, Erwin played a key role in establishing the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's Innovation and Ventures Office, where he served as Chief Innovation Strategist and senior advisor to the Director of Plans and Programs, championing open innovation, human-centered design, lean startup methodologies, and public-private partnerships.

At PwC, Erwin directed the Data and Analytics Innovation Incubator, spearheading collaborations with startups and integrating advanced analytics, machine learning, and emerging digital technologies into consulting practices. Earlier in his career, at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments (CSBA), he conducted influential research on future warfare and technological transformation for the Office of Net Assessments in the Department of Defense.

A decorated combat veteran, Erwin served as an infantry officer, leading troops in more than 100 combat operations in Iraq. He also commanded at the company and battalion levels, with significant roles in intelligence and innovation units within the U.S. Army Reserve Command, where he developed frameworks for strategic technology scouting.Erwin holds degrees from Colby College and Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He is a published futurist and thought leader on strategy, innovation, and emerging technologies, regularly sharing insights through his Substack newsletter (exponentialscout.substack.com)
