Nasir Yammama is a senior advisor to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Innovation and co-lead of the Presidential Initiative for Innovation, Policy Evaluation, and Research (PIIPER). He helps shape national priorities on AI and emerging technologies—strengthening governance, catalysing responsible adoption in public institutions, and building the partnerships that turn frontier capability into public value. He also drives the Presidency’s work on innovation-driven enterprise: advancing deep-tech venture pathways, improving research-to-market linkages, and mobilising industry and development partners to back high-growth Nigerian founders. Nasir is a Member of the UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Committee / AI Governance & AI4Dev Reference Group.
