Brittany Hart is an advocate, educator, author, and speaker dedicated to advancing housing justice through innovative community engagement and public education. She currently serves as the Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Fair Housing Council of Metropolitan Memphis, where she develops and leads initiatives that make fair housing information accessible, engaging, and actionable for diverse communities across the Mid-South. With more than 15 years of experience in community engagement, youth development, trauma-informed care, and family support services, Brittany brings a unique people-centered perspective to fair housing education. Her work focuses on transforming complex housing concepts into meaningful learning experiences through strategic partnerships, creative outreach campaigns, public trainings, and youth-centered programming. Before entering the fair housing field, Brittany spent over a decade working in mental health, family support, and community-based services, helping individuals and families navigate challenges and access resources. She has extensive experience educating communities on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and creating trauma-responsive environments that promote healing, resilience, and empowerment. This foundation continues to shape her approach to housing advocacy, community engagement, and public education. Brittany is the author of My Happy Home: A Fair Housing Adventure and Finding Home: A Story of Fair Housing, two children's books designed to introduce fair housing principles to young learners and families through storytelling and imagination. Her educational resources and fair housing materials have been distributed to schools, libraries, community organizations, and families across multiple states and internationally, expanding awareness of housing rights beyond traditional audiences. Known for her ability to connect policy, education, and lived experience, Brittany is passionate about creating spaces where learning, advocacy, and empowerment intersect. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and recently earned an Executive Certificate in Servant Leadership from Christian Brothers University. She is certified in diversity, emotional intelligence, trauma-informed care, and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) education. Through her work, she continues to champion equitable access to housing opportunities while empowering communities with the knowledge and tools to create lasting change.
