Joseph Wardenski (he/him) is the Founder and Principal of Wardenski P.C., a civil rights firm based in New York City with a second office in Washington, DC, which represents plaintiffs in fair housing, students' rights, health care discrimination, and LGBTQ+ rights cases across the country. Joe has extensive experience litigating complex and groundbreaking civil rights cases, including securing major victories for transgender rights in schools and health care. Before founding Wardenski P.C. in 2021, Joe served as Senior Trial Counsel in the Office of Federal Initiatives at the New York State Office of the Attorney General; Counsel at Relman Colfax PLLC; and Trial Attorney at the Educational Opportunities Section of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division. During his DOJ tenure, Joe co-chaired the Civil Rights Division’s LGBTI Working Group. Joe is a member of the Public Justice Foundation’s Board of Directors.
