Speaker Bio
Julian Glover is an Emmy, Associated Press, and Edward R. Murrow Award-winning anchor, executive producer, and strategic communicator specializing in race, equity, and systems change. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, the global center of AI innovation, he leads impactful reporting for ABC7 News Bay Area and produces nationally acclaimed documentaries and data-driven investigations on housing discrimination, environmental racism, reparations, and social justice.
Glover’s groundbreaking reporting on appraisal discrimination began with the story of a Black California family whose home was undervalued by $500,000—an investigation that sparked national conversation and policy scrutiny. That initial report evolved into the Hulu documentary “Our America: Lowballed,” which has helped drive both federal and state-level reforms aimed at addressing bias in the home valuation process.
His most recent documentary, “California’s Case for Reparations,” connects historical anti-Black housing policies to the lived experiences of Californians today. Known for his ability to distill complex issues into clear, compelling messages, Glover bridges journalism and strategy to transform public understanding and drive policy impact.
He brings deep political knowledge, having covered and produced documentaries on both of Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaigns in 2020 and 2024. Glover is also a lecturer at UC Berkeley and Syracuse University, preparing the next generation of communicators to cover inequality with perspective and purpose.
