Alex Ault is a policy counsel at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, focusing on digital justice, voting rights, and judicial nominations. Prior to joining the Lawyers’ Committee, he worked as a policy consultant at All Voting is Local, where he focused on eliminating needless and discriminatory barriers to the ballot at the state and local levels while fighting for positive policy changes concerning voter registration, ballot access, and vote certification.

At the Lawyers’ Committee, Alex co-authored the Online Civil Rights Act and lobbies Congress and Executive Agencies to adopt equitable privacy protections and anti-discrimination provisions that adequately respond to rampant data collection, bias in algorithmic tools, and the growth of AI technologies. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
