Name
Plenary – Communities at Risk: Race, Environment, and Climate
Description
Where you live has a significant impact on many aspects of your life, and the impact is much broader than the quality, affordability, and stability of the home you occupy. Our country’s history of discrimination and segregation created conditions that affect your exposure to environmental harms and the impacts of climate change, both of which have a disproportionate impact on communities of color. These concerns are increasingly at the top of mind as climate impacts intensify and amplify environmental hazards. This panel of experts will examine these issues and highlight strategies and solutions.
