Often referred to as “Black America’s Attorney General,” civil rights lawyer Ben Crump has represented countless persons affected by racial profiling, injustice, and murder by police officers and others. He has represented the families of Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and Tyre Nichols. His groundbreaking settlements include paradigm-shifting changes to the policies, procedures, and practices of police departments throughout the U.S., often setting new equitable provisions that enhance public safety. He is also a leader in promoting justice in the housing and lending sector as his team is bringing precedent-setting fair lending litigation to increase access to credit. An icon in the battle for justice, Mr. Crump will discuss with Lisa Rice, NFHA’s CEO, his insights into advancing equity in the U.S.
